Gotham Multihulls Series 2015 – May 30 & 31
Join us this weekend for the 2nd annual Gotham Multihulls race, organized by BZH New York member Laurent Apollon.
On Saturday, 5/30, a dozen of multihull sailboats will race from Staten Island to Manhattan. Boats will dock at Pier 25 in Tribeca while crews will party at the Tribeca Tap House (http://tribecataphouse.com) on Greenwich Street.
On Sunday, these sailboats will race back to Staten Island. Sunday’s activities kick off with a skipper meeting at 9AM, for a 10AM departure.
We are raffling two (2) pairs of tickets to watch the race from the water!
Our partner, S-cruise by Smartboat (www.s-cruise-nyc.com), is offering two (2) pairs of tickets to watch the race from on-board his boat. This exciting experience will offer unique views of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline.

The two winners of each pair of tickets will be announced on Saturday 5/30 at 6PM. The 4 passengers will board at Pier 25 Tribeca (@ North Moore Street & the Hudson River) on Sunday 5/27 at 9:30AM, returning to Pier 25 by 11:30AM.

Hermione in New York – July 1st to July 5th
BZH New York is building a fleet of personal boats to sail with the Hermione on the following dates:
- July 4th @ 10AM – Parade in Manhattan Bay
- July 5th – Manhattan to Greenport, NY
If you own a boat and would like to join us, or would like to participate on-board one of our boats and sail with the Hermione, please email us at info@bzh-ny.org.
Hobie Cat in Long Island
Interested in sailing lessons? One of our BZH members, Captain Pascal Blotiau, runs a sailing school in Long Island and is offering small group sailing courses for both beginners and experienced sailors this summer. Beginners will get a chance to learn aboard the Hobie Cat21 while experienced sailors will ride the Prindle 16. Possible itineraries include lunch at Fire Island, picnics on a beach, and more…!
The school is located 50 minutes from Midtown Manhattan in Amityville, New York. Amityville is easily accessible either via car or by train; if you choose to take the train, Pascal can pick you up from the station.
