The Beaux Arts Alliance of New York is sponsoring an illustrated lecture by Robert Seyffert.
American “Belle Epoque” artist Alfred Klots came upon Rochefort-en-Terre (Brittany, France) in 1903 and rented a portion of the château. Soon afterwards, he purchased the entire estate. So began his lifelong passion ¾ the restoration and renovation of the once magnificent 12th century château into a Renaissance manoir filled with paintings and antiques. Today, it is a museum overlooking a charming Breton village. Artist Robert Seyffert spends part of each summer at the château teaching in the artist residency program.
Reception in the Undercroft to follow.
