The 2022 Edition of the Kouign Amann Contest was a great success!

If you were one of the lucky ones present last year, you probably remember the delicious pastries that the passionate participants meticulously prepared. And you probably didn’t miss the magic association of butter and sugar which creates the signature of this legendary breton cake. If you did not try this unforgettable culinary experience yet, no worries. Keep Sunday, 15th of October, free of any activity which might prevent you from tasting what Brittany is truly made of.  Because, yes, one year after, it is time to wipe the slate clean, and to ask once more : Who makes the best Kouign Amann of New-York?

This year again, the event will be hosted at Salon Sucré in the Lower East Side. Several pastry chefs will present their Kouign Amann to the participants and a jury. While the jury selects the “Best traditional Kouign Amann”, and the “Best original Kouign Amann” ,be sure to savor each Kouign Amann and cast your vote for the “Prix du Public” to support your favorite pastry chef.

The contest is also open to amateur bakers in the Home Cook league. The winner of the best home-made Kouign Amann will be designated by the jury. To enter the contest, simply check the box when registering in the form below, and on the day of the contest bring a Kouign Amann for 8 people (either as a single cake or individual pastries).
