BZH New York is organizing its annual Sailing Day in the Great South Bay (between Jones Beach and Fire Island), on June 21st, hosted by our partners Catherine et Pascal Blotiau from Sail La Vie.
Starting at 10AM, we will rig the boats (beach catamarans of various sizes) and sail towards an island that will be the base camp for the afternoon. From there multiple activities will be proposed including for kids, before a return to the mainland for drinks and snacks around 5PM.

Event details
- When?
- Saturday June 21st, starting at 10AM. Rain date June 22nd.
- Where?
- Tanner Park Marina, 123 Baylawn Ave, Copiague, NY 11726. LIRR trains are available from Penn Station/Atlantic Terminal/Jamaica to Copiague (pick-ups from this stop can be organized).
- Costs?
- BZH New York members: Adults: $60; kids under 12: FREE
- Non BZH New York members: Adults: $75; kids under 12: $30
- Who can participate?
- Everyone regardless of sailing experience. A motor boat will also provide transportation to the island and return.
- What to bring?
- Sailing clothes, sunglasses, sunscreen, picnic food and drinks for lunch, and snacks and finger food/drinks for the closing apéro at Catherine and Pascal’s at the end of the day.
In the event of bad weather, the program may be adjusted for safety reasons.
