“Vous n’aurez pas la Bretagne !“: Anne de Bretagne – Anne de France: L’AFFRONTEMENT
A play by Alain Péron, directed by Alain Péron and Valérie Delva Famy (in French only)
Brittany’s destiny was played out at the end of the Middle Ages, in the confrontation between Anne of France and Anne of Brittany. The former, daughter of Louis XI, wanted to subjugate Brittany, while the latter fought all her life for her independence, even after being crowned Queen of France. This play is the story of a past duel that still resonates today.
After a 3-year tour of Brittany and Paris, the cast of the play arrives in New York for a unique performance at the Cultural Center of the Lycée français de New York, in celebration of Fête de la Bretagne – Brittany Day.
Doors will open at 6pm with a complimentary snack including Breton delicacies. The show will start at 7pm, followed by a presentation of the play and a Q&A with the troupe.
“Vous n’aurez pas la Bretagne !”, doors open at 6PM, performance at 7PM at Lycée français de New York
