Fête de la Bretagne 2025 – Celts of New York – Kick Off Concert

LAUNCH OF THE “CELTS OF NEW YORK” ARTISTIC PROJECT – KICK OFF CONCERT AT DROM

Celts of New York is an ambitious artistic project inspired by iconic works like Dan Ar Braz’s “Heritage des Celtes.” Celts of New York brings together 9 musicians and singers with the ambition of engaging new and adventurous musical paths in exploring the unknown that was exile to the Americas at the time, and in confronting each other’s traditions with the artistic abundance which makes New York so unique. 

This creation will embody the poetic power of the lyrics and music that forge the identity of the Celtic peoples, while making them vibrate to the sound of the very special energy embodied by New York City. 

The artists will be in residence from May 15-18 at the New York Irish Center in Long Island City.  The highlight will be a performance on May 18 at DROM NYC in East Village, featuring nine talented artists.
